Community @ Work
Community and culture is the broader matrix for organisational
growth, and yet often difficult to define or know exactly
what it is. Its development requires intervention at
an individual level in how people relate to the whole
organisation, how they perceive its vision and purpose,
and to what extent they invest in and embody it.
This course will explore some of the key dynamics
in community and culture development to empower individuals
through developing and sharing a vision of what it means
to work together in a supportive, effective and fulfilling
organisation.
By the end of this course you will be able
to:
- Identify your vision of a ‘supportive, effective
and fulfilling organisation’ necessary for effective
leadership and team working
- Practice ‘professional friendship’ for
increasing fulfillment, trust and goodwill
- Influence from a basis of ‘power-with’ and
not ‘power over’ for real collaboration
- Empower yourself through wanting to contribute
rather than feeling you have to
- Contribute towards a blame-free culture and stimulating
a context of learning
