Assertiveness with NBC
Assertiveness is about effective and confident communication for a
win-win outcome. Needs Based Communication (NBC) (see www.cnvc.org )
is a highly effective and inspiring means to the development of assertive
behaviour based on a mutual attention to meeting ‘needs’ – the
deeper underlying motives for all our actions.
Who for? Managers and leaders who would like to enhance
or develop assertiveness skills
This simple, yet powerfully transformative approach will give
you the tools to:
|
|
- Ask for, and get what you want in an open, honest and direct way
- Translate demands or criticism into the language of ‘needs’ for
a win-win outcome
- Creatively and compassionately overcome the barriers to being more assertive
- Become increasingly empowered to manage difficult situations more confidently
- Develop greater self-respect and self-esteem for natural confidence
- Avoid the extremes aggression or passivity through being ‘firm and
flexible’
